What happens when #Swiss #design #innovation meets the #excellence and #tradition of #Japanese craftsmanship? Held in B-Side #Harajuku #Tokyo, the exhibition ‘Swiss Design / Made in Japan’ brings fresh perspective to Swiss design. This exhibition is about collaborations between cultures and what each has to offer. Items displayed are designed by Swiss designers or art directors working with Japanese manufacturers and craftsmen. Also exhibited are a selection of products designed in #Japan and made in #Switzerland. The pieces embody the values of both countries. Both design cultures share a perception of the essential, of quality, functionality and unobtrusiveness. Separately, Swiss design culture provides a strong rational aspect, while Japanese design culture materialises ideas that are difficult to verbalise. Swiss Design / Made in Japan exhibits everyday objects, and explores how meaningful, sustainable product design looks in today's globalised world. Link in bio. スイスのローザンヌでは、今年から再来年にかけて、それまで別々の場所にあったローザンヌ美術館 @mcbalausanne、写真館 @Élysée musee そしてデザイン館 @mudaclausanne が, @plateforme_10 という新しい場所に統合される予定です。 人とアートとアイデアが交流する新たなアートセンターの誕生がとても楽しみです。 . . Glad I could join one of the opening ceremonies for Lausanne new museum complex, @plateforme_10 , featuring a reinterpretation of an old locomotive by artists Olivier Mosset and Xavier Veilhan. Designed by Fabrizio Barozzi and Alberto Veiga, Plateforme 10 will open its doors progressively: the new fine arts museum (@mcbalausanne ) is inaugurated this week, while design (@mudaclausanne ) and Photography (@elyseemusee ) will follow in 2021. The work on urbanism and street furniture by Basel-based office @inchfurniture is quite amazing.
